EMS Limited has secured a Letter of Award (LoA) from UP Jal Nigam (Urban) for the development of sewer networks and household sewer connections across 18 critical wards under Varanasi Nagar Nigam, including areas such as Hukulganj and Naibasti.
The turnkey contract, valued at approximately ₹64.85 crore (excluding GST), is scheduled for completion within 18 months. The project scope includes survey work, soil investigation, engineering design, and the supply of all materials, manpower, and equipment required for execution. Key components involve laying and jointing sewer pipelines and rising mains, providing household sewer connections, and constructing a 23 MLD sewage pumping station (SPS). EMS will oversee the complete execution of the project while ensuring compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.
The initiative is expected to strengthen wastewater management infrastructure in Varanasi, helping reduce environmental pollution and improving sanitation and public health conditions in the affected wards.
